Hi this is Joel R., I let my friend use my PayPal account to order something and then I went to order something and it automatically charged his credit card. I need to have Melvin F.’s billing info removed from my PayPal so I am not using his credit card when I am ordering things. I am not sure how to do this my self thanks.
Dear Joel, thanks for the question.
First of all, you will need to check if the card has been saved in your account. PayPal now allows non-registered users to make payments using their cards without signing up. If they want to save the card and if they want to receive money, they would need to sign up and the procedure for this is very easy.
To check if a card has been saved, login to your PayPal account and click on “My Account”. Under this, hover the mouse cursor on “Profile”and select Link/Edit Credit Card. This will display all the cards linked to your account. So, if your friend’s card is listed there, simply click on “Remove” in the “Action” column, for that particular card. You will be asked to confirm your action, click on “Remove”.
For the fact that his card was charged, it has probably been automatically added to your account, because a PayPal account is meant for personal use and one is only supposed to use cards they own.
In closing, I would like to suggest you to use PayPal for yourself and not let anyone use it for their transactions. It is just like a bank account; would you allow anyone to use your online banking account after you have logged in to it? The same should be true for PayPal as well.
